The cities mix the presence of ancient buildings such as the Kasbahs (fortified houses), the Mosques (not visitable in Morocco, with the exception of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca), the Medinas (the old part of the city), the souks (markets) in a dazzling variety of architectural styles (Berber, Arab, African, Spanish in the north of the country, Portuguese along the Atlantic coast, French).
